What is Tabbedout ... ?
- We are the cure for forgotten credit cards and missing out on a good time. Our goal is to make mobile payment a simple and secure process that is widely available, so that bars and restaurants can spend more time with their customers. The free Tabbedout app for iPhone and Android lets consumers OPEN a tab with their mobile phone, VIEW their tab in real-time and PAY the tab anytime, anywhere. Our mobile payment solution integrates directly with the merchant’s point-of-sale (POS) system and does not require additional hardware.

How does it work ... ?
- To open a tab, launch the Tabbedout application and select 'Nearby Locations.' Once you find your location, simply select ‘Open a Tab’ and show the five-digit Tabbedout code to your server. The server will see a button matching your code on their point-of-sale system to tie your tab directly to your phone. Order with your waiter or bartender as you normally would, and then close your tab from the application at any point.

- Tabbedout is available in major cities nationwide. Our application allows you to search for a Tabbedout location near you using your mobile phone's GPS or visit tabbedout.com for a complete list of locations.

Is Tabbedout secure ... ?
- Tabbedout was developed to be more secure than traditional payment methods. No longer will you need to give your credit card to someone you don’t know. Your credit card information is stored securely within the Tabbedout application running on your phone. When a tab is opened, the information is then sent under encryption directly to the restaurant's point-of-sale system without ever being stored on a server somewhere else.
- All communications and data are secured with 256-bit AES encryption so even if you lose your phone, your stored card information is safe. Tabbedout also allows you to set a custom passphrase to further secure your payment information.

Can I split a check ... ?
- Some of our venues allow you to pay a portion of the total bill directly from Tabbedout. Once you select a venue from the application, if that location supports partial payments you will see a button labeled 'Split Tab'. If you are the first to open a tab, simply select 'Open Tab'. If the tab is already open by someone else, select 'Split Tab' and then “Join Existing Tab” to enter the original tab holder’s tab code. This can happen before or after the original tab holder pays his portion

How much does it cost ... ?
- Our service is free for the end consumer. You can use the app to open, review and pay bar and restaurant tabs at no additional charge.
- Please note that you may occasionally see a very small temporary charge appear on your credit card statement from Tabbedout. This is done in order to verify your card is active and valid. The funds are never actually deducted from your account, and the pending transaction will be released within a maximum of 7-10 business, typically sooner.

How does the venue know I paid ...?
- Tabbedout is integrated with the restaurants point-of-sale system and notifies the management and staff when a tab is paid.

Can I get a copy of my receipt ...?
- Tabbedout allows you to email yourself a copy of the receipt when you close your tab or select a tab from your history.

Why is there a minimum tip ...?
- Each location determines the appropriate tip amount, based on many different factors. If you feel the tip minimum or default tip is not appropriate, please send us a note, indicating the venue name, the city as well as your contact information.
