Get Tabbedout
- Tabbedout is a free download from the iPhone App Store and Android Market
- No separate online account required
- Simple enrollment process-- takes minutes if not seconds to complete
- Credit card information stored securely on your own phone under encryption, never on our servers
- Ability to set a passphrase for optimum security
Find a Location
- Nearby Tabbedout locations listed based on GPS info from your phone
- App displays a map view and GPS directions
- Ability to search by city & state or zip code
Open a Tab
- Never hand your card to a someone you don't know—simply open your tab on your phone
- Locate nearby Tabbedout locations on your phone
- Press the "Open Tab" button
- Tabbedout produces a code on your phone -- show it to your server to open your tab.
- Order as you normally would, face-to-face with the server or bartender
- Once open, you no longer need the code to find your tab
Pay Your Tab
- From the moment you open your tab, Tabbedout securely encrypts your name and credit card number and sends it electronically to the restaurant or bar's point of sale system.
- When you are ready to leave, enter your tip, select the card you want to use and hit pay tab.
- Your tab and a tip for the server or bartender can be paid from anywhere - at the table, at the next bar, in a cab, or on a plane
- If your phone runs out of battery or you forget to close your tab, the server or bartender will close the tab directly on their point of sale system
Split Tabs
- Going out with friends or family tonight?
- Tabbedout supports partial payments, allowing everyone in your party to decide how they want to pay - Tabbedout, cash or credit card
- Encourage everyone in your party to download and use Tabbedout so they don't slow down the fun when it's time to close the tab
Sharing & Social Networking
- Tabbedout is integrated with major social networks (Facebook, Foursquare and Twitter) letting you "check-in" and stay in touch with friends when you open a tab.
- You can also "check-out" when you close your tab, letting your friends know where you are headed next.
- Status updates and check-ins can be posted directly from within Tabbedout - no need to exit the application to share your location
E-Mail Receipts
- In preferences, select to have your receipt sent to your e-mail.
- Tabbedout will automatically deliver an electronic receipt (.pdf) to your personal inbox.
- Tabbedout also retains a history of your prior purchases so you can review and reprint past receipts.
- Review the history on your receipts to locate that favorite meal or wine from your last visit.

Protect Against ID Theft
- Tabbedout believes the best possible way to protect yourself against credit card fraud is to only store your credit card information on your phone, not in some big server somewhere
- Your credit card information should also be stored and encrypted on your personal smart phone
- The credit card information should only be sent to the point of sale system where you are opening a tab
- Never hand your credit card again to someone you don't know
